The "yeses" to "nos" ratio remains unchanged by proactively embracing risk and seizing opportunities. Despite encountering numerous "nos," individuals are bound to encounter more "yeses."

Additionally, Hoffman suggested that individuals often underestimate their chances of receiving a "yes," even in seemingly improbable scenarios. Surprisingly, the person on the other end of the call did not immediately reject Hoffman's request but instead took a message and offered to consult the manager.
